CruiseCouple02 Posted August 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2008 Hey all.... I guess I just need a little reassurance on my recent choice to upgrade to a balcony. I just upgraded from a promenade inside room to a balcony guarantee. From all of your experiences, are there any balcony rooms on the ship that are not as good? Im just a little worried that we will be stuck with a less than great room. Thanks for your help in advance!!! :D
cruiseguy1016 Posted August 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2008 While some balconies are better than others, any balcony is better than an inside. The Promenade rooms are nice because you get to overlook the Royal Promenade but balconies have natural light and the ability to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. You made the right choice. DonnaK Posted August 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2008 There isn't a bad balcony cabin on Mariner. Maybe some are more desireable than others, but they are all good.

Thanks for your help in advance!!! :D I have "heard" that the aft balconies on deck 9 were less than desirable because of soot problems. Some people claim that there was black ash over everything and they had to wipe down the furniture any time they wanted to sit down. We had an aft cabin on deck 7 and it was perfection. Matter of fact, we have the same room on Adventure in a couple of weeks. I think your move to a balcony guarantee was a good one. Mike
