Rare Peregrina651 Posted September 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2008 '07-'08 cruisers, won't you tell us where you ate and what you ate? Would you go back there? Would you choose something different? Any places we should avoid? Anything we should know about local customs or specialty items? Has anyone eaten at any restaurants that are not mentioned in the guidebooks? Anything that you have to say about eateries (restaurants, tea shops, cafes, bakeries, snack bars) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your answers!
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Our focus on each of our South America cruises has been more on the culture and the breathtaking scenery rather than eating. If you begin or end your cruise in Buenos Aires and have extra days there you will find lots of wonderful restaurants. And if you enjoy Steak, this is the place for it. When you are in Chile, if you have the opportunity to visit the wine country do so. In many ways the setting reminds me of Napa Valley, particularly many years ago.
