room safe on Monarch?

I've read they don't have room safes in the cabins? Can anyone confirm this? I'm in an outside room deck 2.

I believe every stateroom has a lockable safe.

Enchantment of the Sea had a room safe. I used my Delta Miles card to lock and unlock it. We kept LOTS of things in it.

When we were on Monarch there wasn't a safe in the cabin.

Monarch last june, no safe. I thought they would put them in when they did the refurbish, but, they didnt.. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif[/img] still very small cabins, as before.

I was in a deck 2 cabn and there was NO SAFE. However, I do believe they are in Categories D and higher. You can leave valuables at the Purser's desk or bring a hardsided suitecase with a good lock and attach it to the closet with a bike lock. Worked very well for us on the Monarch and the last time we took the train.

I am surprisd that some cabins on Monarch do not have a safe in room. I have only been in suites there and they did have room safe.

I sailed on the Monarch several times in the last few months. As stated before, Cat. D cabins and above have safes.
