Atlantis Resort in Nassau free if do timeshare?

I read on one of the reviews that someone was approached and invited by a local when they were walking around in Nassau to attend a 60 minutes timeshare presentation. After that they were given waist bands and were allowed to use the facilities for free. Does anyone know where these salespeople are? Do they have a booth somewhere near the cruise shop port? We'll be in Nassau this January and wouldn't mind doing that if we know where to find someone to invite us. Anyone knows how much it costs for adults to use the facilities for one day? Thanks.

You might wanna rethink this. With the transportation time involved, and the main pitch; followed by the follow up pitch, and then the final pitch when you continue to show disinterest, you may be tied up for 3 hours. Then, getting your little "reward" out of them can also be quite challenging. Oh yeah, in case you decide not to take this friendly advice, just look on most busy street corners in downtown Nassau and you will find them.

First of all, don't count on hitting the same time share deal. (I see Cruzman has posted about this while I was typing, and I agree 100%.)

Back in 2005 or so, it was sometimes possible to buy an Atlantis full access day pass at the cruise ship terminal kiosk for $25 - $19 for kids. As far as I know, Atlantis stopped issuing them, as they no longer needed to drum up business. Then, for a while it was possible to rent a room for a single day (instead of multi-day minimum). That seems to have gone the way of the dodo, too. I think you can still buy a different "day pass" in the Atlantis casino - admission to The Dig, and a tour of the lagoons.

Some neighboring hotels have full access to Atlantis, like Comfort Suites, and people have been known to rent a room for a single day just to get full Atlantis access.

Cruise ship shore excursions to Atlantis are expensive, and usually don't include FULL Atlantis access to Atlantis' own pools and waterpark - just the beach, and The Dig.

On the other hand, you can see quite a bit of Atlantis free - marina village, casino, shops, and the beach - to the high water line (Bahamian law).

You might get lucky with some kind of pass, and some travelers report getting lucky with using the Atlantis pools without a wrist band (tacky, IMO!) But don't pin you happiness in Nassau on Atlantis. There's lots else to do!

Either pay to use the pool at Atlantis (a day room), or just stay on the ship and use the pool you've ALREADY paid for--there won't be any crowds on port days!

Those "timeshare" tours are horrible! Once you're in their grip, they won't let you go...and I'm not kidding about that! You'll be wasting valuable port time and by the time those folks accept your refusal, you'll be in a foul mood. It's not worth it.
