hawkfanI Posted September 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2008 It's been several years since our last cruise, at that time we were sent hard copies of cruise docs along with other interesting and insightful info regarding our cruise. It was always an exciting time to receive the cruise docs packets in the mail. Am I to understand that now, cruise docs are sent via email? Am I to understand that now, cruise docs are sent via email? it's whatever you told RC...i think mostly they are electronic but you can ask for the booklet when you book...you can probably call and switch it if you do so soon! (you really don;t need them, nice to have, but they aren't as nicely made up as they were!)
cb at sea Posted September 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2008 Everything is going the "e-ticket" route. Do you remember when you got airline tickets in a packet, with boarding passes already in there? Nowadays, you don't even NEED the docs, and what they do send is nowhere near as exciting as it used to be! The cruise brochure has all of the same info that the old docs used to have. It is nice to get the Docs by mail or from your TA; THE PREPRINTED BAG TAS ARE HANDY BUT NOT NECESSARY.You can get bag tags from the porters at the dock and it is good to print your Set Sail Pass before you get to check in.:)
