wifi on the Voyager

This is our first cruise on the Voyager. Is there wifi connection? Can you get it in the cabins? Is there a charge? Although we are on vacation, we still have to be intouch with our office...so this would be a great help..:confused:

There is wifi available pretty much throughout the ship. Signal may be stronger in some areas/cabins than in others, but the whole ship is supposedly covered. You will find instructions for using the ship's Internet at the computer center and/or in your cabin. On your first cruise after you have cruised 20 days, Internet is free, otherwise see pricing below.

PRICING

 

Time Plan #1: $0.25 per minute - 250 minutes for $62.50

 

Time Plan #2: $0.35 per minute - 100 minutes for $35

 

Pay As You Go: $0.55 per minute

 

 

 

One-Time Account Activation Fee _ $3.95 (Applies to all users on first login only)

 

Please note that a Time Plan cannot be used on more than one computer at the same time.

We just got off the Mariner and we were on the Voyager in April - the wifi works great, but be aware that based on the ship's position the internet is some times not available.

Yes, it's connect time you're paying for.

 

Once you get to "Silver", internet is free, but that's after 20 nights.

Yes, the price is the same price no matter whose computer you use to burn Internet minutes. Also, keep in mind that the speed is probably not what you are used at home/work. It is slow and signal can be somewhat unreliable. It is satellite based and you are at sea! Consider yourself lucky to have any connectivity at all, at any price and plan accordingly.
