Well, this caught my eye: While in dry dock, ships will expand the aft deck to create a new resort pool concept, The Retreat ...

 

So, does this mean the cabanas are coming, the cabanas are coming?

 

Wouldn't seem there'd be much room, with the addition of cabanas, for much else around the aft pool.

 

Hopefully, we'll be able to sail once or twice more on the R or S class before they trash the aft.

I'm trying to figure out how this Press Release is dated 9/19 when the exact same release is on HAL's website dated 8/30...and it's BEEN THERE since 8/30...

The article mentions that the songs of Tony Bennet, Frank Sinatra and Harry Conick Jr. will be in the Ocean Bar. Does anyone know if this will be live music or recorded?

Yeah, but that's because the press release didn't say that they are also going to upgrade the quality of the pillow chocolates left on your pillow each night. :)

This confirms what everyon has been saying about smaller cruise staffs....

 

A new Explorations Team employs cruise staff, each specializing in a particular area, to educate and entertain guests with an expanded menu of activities including flower arranging, hands-on cooking, dancing and working with digital photos, blogs and movies. Each team consists of a cruise director, a party planner, a travel guide, dance directors and a "techspert." On longer cruises, a book club leader joins the team to lead lively group discussions.
