Other work will encompass cosmetic upgrades such as new carpets and soft goods. The ship is scheduled to go into the Forgacs Cairncross Dockyard in Brisbane on Jan. 25. Paul Gauguin is to depart Papeete on Jan. 7 for the 17-night voyage to Brisbane, arriving on the morning of Jan. 25. The ship is then to depart Brisbane on Feb. 5 for the 17-night return voyage to Papeete, arriving there on Feb. 20.
bev'sid Posted September 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2008 Sounds like some needed TLC is in store and the balconies being added is very interesting! bev
Wendy The Wanderer Posted September 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2008 Wow, I wonder what all those balconies will look like? Hope they don't ruin the lines of the ship, it's so pretty. The owners obviously plan to do *something* with the ship past 2009. I wonder what?

Either they have plans that do not include Regent in 2010 and beyond. . . . or, Regent is buying the ship. Is this a way of teasing us or ????? canadagal Posted September 26, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted September 26, 2008 Here's another thought. There will no longer be those less expensive cabins with a port hole or window that some like to book as the balcony is not an essential for them. Looks like most of the ship will become all balconied and those lower categories more expensive leaving some people out of luck. Pat
