pe4all Posted September 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2008 Wow - I'm surprised John himself isn't CDing the Dream. He usually breaks in all the new ships. Todd is fine - have sailed with him twice. I guess it'll be #3 on the Dream!!
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted September 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2008 The last time we saw John, I want to say it was on the first 7 day sailing of the Glory (July 2003). Don't the new ships typically also have KEN as the Maitre 'd and RON as the Piano Bar player? (At least according to reviews of a few of the recent new ships) Anyone else who is typically onboard early on?? Tom
campdaan Posted September 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2008 Glad to see that Todd is getting some recognition, He was by far, The best CD I have had.
kicia Posted September 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2008 John is not bringing out the Dream as CD because he wants to stay in Europe. Heidi is getting off the ship and staying home as of October and John wants to stay close to her, her mother and his parents. He will be the CD on the Liberty but he will do a guest blog on the Dream - and maybe a Blogger's Cruise. Ken Byrne will be the Maitre d' on the Dream and hopefully Jogi will be with him. Haven't heard for sure about Ron Pass but maybe he'll be there too.
pe4all Posted September 27, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2008 We have been lucky enough to sail the Liberty and Freedom soon after they finished their Europe/transatlantic voyages, and came over to the U.S. While we have never had John as CD, we have had the pleasure of sailing with Todd, Ken and Ron, and they are great. Truthfully, we enjoy our cruises no matter who is "running the ship."
