sail7seas Posted October 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2008 :o Is there a way to save a font under User CP so that each time you type a message, it automatically uses that font choice? Thanks.....
RuthC Posted October 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2008 Not that I've found, sail. And I've spent time looking for just that thing. One time I went through all the sub-headings under "User CP", and didn't find anything that would change the default. If there's a way I'd like to know it, too. Krazy Kruizers Posted October 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2008 Haven't been able to do that since this site was started. Don't think it will ever happen. Thankfully many of us can do it when we send e-mails.
sail7seas Posted October 7, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted October 7, 2008 I can set my e-mail to whatever font I wish (and I change it often) but have not been able to find a way to it here on CC. So, KK, you reset your font every time you post here?

So, KK, you reset your font every time you post here? When I use my computer that is Windows XP -- I have to set eveything here for every post. But when I use the my computer that has Vista Premium -- I don't have to do that -- everything saves automatically. AND -- I have no idea why??? mamaofami Posted October 7, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2008 I reset every time I post here too. I don't think there's a way to save it. It's very annoying.
innlady1 Posted October 7, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 7, 2008 I've checked everywhere for it, sail, to no avail. However, I recently figured out how to do it another way. First, go to Tools in Internet Explorer and select Internet Options. Then, "Fonts," and select your font. Then, go through the same process (Tools; Internet Options) and select "General." Click on, "Accessibility" then, check "Ignore Styles specified on web pages." Try that! Let me know if it works! ;)
sail7seas Posted October 7, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted October 7, 2008 Thanks, Sheila. That process would change the font for everything I do on my computer, wouldn't it? Not just for posts here on CC? I use a different font for my e-mail and Word etc than I wanted to use for posting here. I'm getting tired of the same font I've used for years and years here. I happen to like Comic Sans, so am thrilled that it's on my computer now universally. But, if that's not what you won't, my method won't work for you.
