Rough seas for Zaandam

I just got an email from my brother and his wife, on the Zaandam heading for Hawaii. They report abnormally rough seas, they were being shaken and stirred quite a bit, much seasickness and dishes are flying in the dining room (or were, I think things are calmer today).

I'm sure the Pacific is rough because of the storms.

I'm in San Diego and it has been rough since last night - my boat has been rocking back and forth and its very windy. I can only imagine what it's like closer to the hurricane.

Not surprising -- the seas are really rought out there in the Pacific right now.

Ride em ........I love it when there is a good chop, albeit what you have experienced was over the top, as in , enough, already.

I like to feel the ocean, but not so rough as to slide the plates off the table.

The Pacific can be very rough. Friends of ours were in a Hawaii-SD storm that lasted the entire trip. Couldn't go out on deck, no way to get fresh air, everyone sick, you get the picture. That is not fun no matter how much one like it to be a little choppy. :eek:
