Will be sailing on Solstice in Feb and wondering about the CC host/hostess, captain and CD - any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Monique

Master is Captain Gary from Norway.

CD is Stewart Turnbull from Canada

Captain's Club Hostess Melissa Snow from Austraila.

We just spent two weeks in SL and returned 01/22. We had a great time, the service and personnel were outstanding. ~ Ric

TO DANCING GAL,

Just got back from the Solstice (January 15th Sailing)... Crew was as follows (from the IN THE SPOTLIGHT Sheet)

MASTER - Captain Gerry Larrson-Fedde (from Norway)

CHIEF ENGINEER - Andreas Kavouras (from Greece)

STAFF CAPTAIN - Tasos Kafetzis (from Greece)

GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER - Tom Beeckman

HOTEL DIRECTOR - Jan Willem Kuipers (from Seattle, Washington, USA)

FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER - John-Paul Lamb (from Vancouver, BC, Canada)

EXECUTIVE CHEF - Michael Fernandes (from India)

As RMSEADOG said above, we did have Stewart Turnbull as our CRUISE DIRECTOR... but half-way thru our sailing he was replaced by Zach the Activity Director... it wasn't clear to me if this was a change in the CD position, or just an interim situation so Stewart could take care of some personal business ashore.

All-in-all this crew is a great bunch of folks... fun and friendly. They went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome I thought.

Even discovered that a couple of them were sailing with their significant-others on our trip.

BTW... some great activities NOT TO BE MISSED with the Crew are:

* The Liars Club - Late Night Comedy Game Show (Bust-a-gut funny)

* Dancing with the Stripes (also great fun... stay to the end to catch the Greek Dancing done by the Crew)

* Crew Sports Challenges (always a favourite)

* The Galley Tour (very informative and entertaining... the food & beverage folks have a good sense of humour)

* And those nights that Captain Larrson makes an appearance in the Theatre (lol the man plays a mean Stratocaster and can sing too)

Hope this is helpful,

Cheers!

There was an immigration problem that Stewart had to return to Canada to resolve. He was to return to SL on 22 Jan. ~ Ric

Thanks RMSEADOG...

So I wonder if he is now aboard. Hopefully, someone else can give us an update.

Personally, I enjoyed Zach's company more than I did Stewart's... but that could just be me... and the fact that I had a longer time to get to know Zach.

Cheers!

Does anyone know who will be the Silhouette Captain's Club Hostess during this time frame?

Would also love to know who will be in the Spotlight on Sillhouette 03/29/12 (Captain and Officers)

Regards ..........H

Do you remember the name of the Party Band on Solstice? What was your opinion of their style of music? Thanks in advance.

We met Ken in Oct 2010 on Equinox, when he was finishing his role as Guest Relations Manager and about to move on to Infinity to be Associate Hotel Director, to be groomed one day to be Hotel Director. Glad to hear that he has achieved that.:)

TO SCGIRL3211,

The Party Band aboard the Solstice (January 15th Sailing) was "Top Notch"... we caught them several times, thought they were good... definitely had us up dancing a few times.

Cheers!
