jodiedew Posted October 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2008 Can anyone from the San Juan area tell me about the weather this time of year? I'm flying in Saturday and staying for a week before my cruise. I know it's rainy season, but is it more of the 20-minute-showers variety rather than the all day long rainfalls? The temperature looks like it will be warm--I can't wait!
Coqui2007 Posted October 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2008 There is a chance of rain most months here. Higher chances during Hurricane season as we are in now. having said that the last few days have been pretty good. If there is no tropical disturbances near by, then usually the rain is short and the sun will be back out. Typically for Nov Highs in the mid 80's, lows in mid 70's with on average about 6" of rain. There is currently a disturbance way to the east that you can keep an eye on here http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ or take a look here http://www.visit-the-coqui.com/weather/ Hope that helps a little More info on Puerto Rico at my tavel guide http://www.visit-thej-coqui.com
CatgirlNC Posted October 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2008 What about at night? We have one of those infamous 5PM-midnight stops in San Juan. I will be there in 2 weeks, and we've signed up for the evening walking tour with Legends of PR. The tour is held rain or shine, so we're doing it either way. Should I bring an umbrella? Nanatravel Posted October 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2008 Better Safe than Sorry. Always pack a travel sized umbrella just in case.
