Bringing soda onboard

Having read this forum, it says that you can bring soda and bottled water on board, BUT if you ask rccl they say no. We are cruising a week from today, anyone off recently that has had any problem taking soda on. I really don't want to have to go without my diet mt. dew. thanks!!

soda and water are allowed to be brought onboard. alcohol is not allowed, sounds like someone confused the two.

They do allow you to bring soda and water on board. They might "inspect" water or soda bottles, looking for alcohol, but personal soda/water is not on the "prohibited" list.

I took a case of bottled water on my last two cruises in September and October. I stick an extra luggage tag on top of the plastic wrap, and I tip the porter, telling him to please put it on TOP of the luggage cart!!

 

Both times it was not delivered with my luggage, but came a little later, but I got it.

Soda isn't a problem! Just slap a luggage tag on it!

I've been bringing sodas and tea onboard for years. I have learned to carry it on myself. I had a porter on a Carnival cruise years ago break a few plastic water bottles so quite of bit of my stuff got a little soaked.
