Recharging an IPOD on Emerald ?

Is there a place to charge an IPOD on the Emerald and other ships; or do I need to bring my laptop to recharge?

 

Singapore's Changi Airport has IPOD charging points as well as for other popular devices.

You could simply buy and bring a charger that plugs into the electrical socket. This is what I did for my cruises. If you are from Oz then you'll need an adaptor as well.

I agree bring a plug in charger, as there are no special IPOD charging arrangements. :)

You can re-charge any electronice device, whether it's a camera or iPod, using your cabin's outlets as long as you have the right voltage. The iPod is dual-voltage so all you need to do is make sure you have the correct converter if you are not from the U.S.

 

However, there are no USB ports to plug your iPod into nor is there a docking station in any cabin if that's what you're asking. You will need the Apple charger.

Oh, I know that the original Apple charger doesn't look like that for sure but mine only costs less than $6 vs apples price of $29.

It's only a simple transformer & does the job just fine.

I've got a real problem with paying Apple's asking prices. :eek:

I have something called a "Power Monkey", which you charge from the main electric outlet and which then has various tips included to charge mobile phones, iPods and other devices. It's brilliant! No need to bring loads of charging cables with you.

I bought a Griffin power plug from Walmart that works fine to recharge my iPod using the electrical outlet.

We have a very light docking station that charges the ipod but also lets us listen to the music while getting ready in our cabin.
