We're booked on Soltice. We don't mind smaller ships but we're through sailing ships that are past their prime and aren't being kept fresh looking. It can be done, too. One need only give the refreshed Century a try to see what a little TLC can do!

Well, at this moment I have 4 cruises booked on Solstice. I plan to have waffles on each one of them. ;)

Does this mean that the Solstice will not not be able to go though the Panama Canal. I know the Summit fit without a problem.

 

The new set of locks should be able to handle Solstice when finished.

The Solstice will be showing her age by the time the Canal is wide enough for her to traverse Gatun Lake. Enjoy her now while her carpets are new. You will be cruising on a newer, larger ship by 2015. The cruise lines will be retiring or transferring the ships we have been sailing on, because of their small capacity and insufficient number of balcony cabins. The paintings in the stairwells of Solstice are phenomenal, and the grass tickles your toes!

We are already booked on the Equinox in AQ. We had considered the Solstice for the spring, but we were not overly impressed with the itinerary, and the length of the of the cruise. Therefore, we have booked a suite on the Emerald Princess for ten nights. This is a southern Caribbean cruise with six ports of call.
