Cleaning day on Mercury????

Just read a post on the X Connections thread which said Mercury is due in Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow, Thursday, for a day of cleaning before pax board and the ship leaves on a Panama Canal cruise Friday. I've never heard of a ship's schedule including a day of down time for cleaning. No mention was made of a noro-virus problem onboard and even then, boarding time may be delayed some to allow for thorough cleaning but certainly not an entire day. A ship minus passengers doesn't generate $$$ so if true, this is a bit odd.

That makes a lot more sense. Don't know where the poster got the idea the ship was due in earlier than scheduled for cleaning. Thanks.

Checked that out too, apparently it was just one person who posted the info, where they got it from, who knows.

Its on the last page of this thread..
