Nothin' But Sun Posted December 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2008 Are there kids books in the Library to read as bedtime stories to borrow for the night?
Rala Posted December 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2008 I have never seen childrens' books in the library. Maybe they have some at Adventure Ocean that you could borrow.
Nothin' But Sun Posted December 11, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted December 11, 2008 I thought about that too, borrowing from the Adventure ocean but not sure if they would allow that unless they have a tracking system like signing books out. I guess I will just have to find out. I don't feel like packing a bunch of books.
FinallyConvincedDH2Cruise Posted December 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2008 The Indy has a bunch of children's books, we took several out every night. AO also has books, I am not sure if you can sign them out.
crusinmama06 Posted December 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Actually, Royal Caribbean has recently added a children's section in each library on each ship. I put the details of it on my blog when RCI released it. http://www.cruisingwithchildren.blogspot.com/ Children's Library Fleetwide The Adventure Family Library with a range of books for the entire family, a journey within a journey is just around the corner from your stateroom. They've designed the libraries in such a way that books for young readers are easily accessible. From books about animals to toddlers to bedtime stories, there is something to keep your little ones entertained. Books can be found in different languages, depending on your itinerary. Choose your child's favorite story, or try out a different one each night with the Royal Caribbean Adventure Family Library.

Wilda Posted December 14, 2008 #7 Share Posted December 14, 2008 We just got off the Liberty and they do have 2 rows of books dedicated to children and young adults. A fairly good selection; we went through 3 of them during the cruise:) I believe they also have some in spanish too!
Merion_Mom Posted December 14, 2008 #8 Share Posted December 14, 2008 They are there, but you can't count on them being available. After all, there are thousands of other passengers on board, and not all of them "learned to share". ;) If this is a major need for your child(ren), I suggest that you bring one or two favorites from home. wrangler4u Posted December 14, 2008 #9 Share Posted December 14, 2008 Sailed on the Serenade Oct 3 2008 and there were no children's books in the library. We had brought our own, although the cabin steward brought us 2 books. My girls were exstatic about that! Didn't think to check some from AO, so I can't answer for that. cruisingcows Posted December 14, 2008 #10 Share Posted December 14, 2008 We've borrowed children's library books on both the Mariner and the Explorer. We've also borrowed books from AO. I'm guessing it depends on the staff there, as we were just told to bring them back before the end of the cruise.
