Your favourite cruise activity?

Recently on the Empress they had a "Pop Idol" contest which ran thru out the week and a winner was chosen on the last sea night. Fun to follow and kind of a cross between Karoke and a talent competition. There was some real talent on our ship!

My boyfriend participated in a similar competition on our Carnival cruise, tinker. It was definitely one of the highlights!

Another one of my favorite activities is taking advantage of the spa specials while we're in port. They usually have some great deals and there's always at least one port during a cruise that I am not that interested in seeing.

One of my least favorite activities is anything to do with the casino. I tried gambling on my last cruise and really didn't have much fun.

I am really looking forward to all the great activities on the VOS!

Got to be the trivia. Good tip for you all out there if you team a couple of us Brits with a couple of you Americans it works out well (we tried it on the Norwegian Crown back at the beginning of October. Bud and Jeannie - if you are out there, we miss you loads!!

Can't stand the karaokee (can't spell it either!!), especially if they decide to hold it in my favourite bar.

I have to say that my favorite activity was the Ice Under the Big Top show on the Mariner....also discovered slot machines!!

Least favorite activity on board is hands down the Muster Drill!!! I felt like a fool standing there smashed up together with everyone else in a life vest that you can barely stick your head out of! But in case of an emergency it would be my favorite thing I suppose!

Definitely trivia, especially music and tv trivia. We should be opening our little RCL logo shop any time now! On our last cruise we went to the sports trivia game and we came in second (a MAJOR disappointment for DH...he's used to winning) and the prize was the waterproof wallet. Everyone on our team already had one from other contests so they left all of theirs with us. Like I said, watch for the grand opening of our logo store!

I guess least favorite would have to be disembarking. It makes me so sad.

My DH and I try to never miss trivia. Also like the TriBond tourneys on some cruises.

BTW this spring we were on the Voyager to Canada and participated in the single lamest Trivia contest in the Schooner Lounge - way too many folks for such a small venue. Poor MC. Idiotic questions. We were VERY disappointed. Based upon some of the replies here, the trivia is important to a lot of us. This contest seemed to be an afterthought.

Quest is an adult scavenger hunt and is best experienced if you have an open mind, aren't easily embarassed, Sit in the front of the room, and don't know much more than that :) By all means go and enjoy it, but leave the kiddies in the cabin or the Adventure Ocean area!

Our favorite activity used to be the trivia and name that tune contests, but as a previous poster noted, these have become quite lame on some sailings. Wish they would enhance these again and promote them as night-time entertainment. Lots of them are now offered during the day only.

We like all the participation stuff, Quest, pool games (hubby does, I watch), trivia, slot and blackjack tournaments, etc.

Least favorite... have to agree with the Muster Drill! Especially if you get a stinky life vest.
