feenix Posted December 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2008 When you are docked somewhere and want to go to the beach or on an excursion, do you bring towels from the room, somewhere else in the ship, or bring your own towels? Does it matter if you are on an excursion or not, as to whether you can bring the ship's towels? Thanks.
cruisinbuddy Posted December 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2008 They're supplied by the ship. you can take them off the ship for excursions.
eh2zed Posted December 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2008 Most cruise lines provide them at the gangway. Some do not.
cb at sea Posted December 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2008 All of the mainstream lines will provide pool/beach towels. Don't bother packing your own--once wet, they will NEVER dry. The ship's towels can be changed for clean and dry anytime you want.

wrp96 Posted December 28, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2008 Your room steward will leave them for you in your room (they are beige and slightly larger than the bath towels).
waiting4acruise Posted December 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2008 Remember to bring the ship's towels back to your cabin so you will not be charged for them.

travelguy58 Posted January 1, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2009 Not all pool/beach towels are beige... It depends on the cruise line.
wrp96 Posted January 1, 2009 #10 Share Posted January 1, 2009 Not all pool/beach towels are beige... It depends on the cruise line. The OP is on Adventure of the Seas. The pool towels are beige.
subtchr Posted January 2, 2009 #11 Share Posted January 2, 2009 On our first cruise, on the Grandeur of the Seas, the pool towels were beige, and our steward did leave them in our stateroom when we asked. On our most recent cruise, on Liberty of the Seas, they had changed the pool towels to two-sided ones, one side white with navy trim, the other navy with white trim. You had to get those at the towel station by the pool, using your seapass card. Any that were not turned in by the end of the cruise cost $20, charged to your account. Of course you could switch for dry ones at any time. Here are a couple pictures that show the towels:
