HappyCruiser44 Posted January 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I have never cruised Oceania before but am considering a Med trip in June. I'm a little confused about their pricing structure. If this has already been covered, apologies but if someone out there can explain this to me, I'd really appreciate learning more. There is cruise fare and often it is 2 for 1 incl. air; then there is an air credit if you choose to decline their air; then there are port fees - for the Med, these run at about 400pp plus visas, etc. What are the taxes and svc charges? These are around 400 dollars and I have never seen these so high on any other line? Taxes typically run 100 dollars on other lines. Does this mean that Oceania is charging an additional 300 dollars off to psgrs in the form of a "service fee"?
Rare LHT28 Posted January 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2009 With the air included fare the air taxes are not included I do not see any SVC charges Just looking at my invoice it is 1)Base fare (2 for 1) 2)GVT fees, Taxes security & handling charges 3)air related: taxes, fuel surcharges, ticketing fee If you take the air credit then # 3 will be removed
