Payne's Bay/Blue Monkey Beach - warning to cruisers

According to this lengthy thread on Tripadvisor, it's best not to go here. Summary: the beach is a favourite place for taxis to 'dump' cruise visitors. It is wall-to-wall sunbeds and aggressive vendors. There are minimal facilities.

We've been saying that for months,now.

 

The good news is that Blue Monkey Bar

(who encouraged the taxi drivers to be mercenary)

is now closed, God be praised! :D
