yogimax Posted January 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Just booked the Inspiration with an upgrade to a 5A porthole. The cabin is in the front of the ship, under the theatre. Will this be a problem? Anyone stayed in the porthole cabins on the Empress deck?
klmorg Posted January 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2009 I was wondering about the same thing... we're in an OV on the Ecstasy, Empress deck, under the theatre next month (just booked a last minute quickie cruise). Anyone have any feedback? Thanks much!
KroozFoolz Posted January 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2009 I did a search using "empress porthole" and after looking through a lot of threads, I found no complaints about noise from the theatre above - a few "warnings" about noise from bow thrusters and dropping the anchor but that is applicable to any of the porthole cabins at the front of the ship. I too was concerned about this when we selected a 5A on Fascination, but we were able to get U16 (which we loved!), so I hadn't thought any more about it til you started this thread. I guess that is a long way of saying it looks like you won't have a problem. Here are two of the threads that had the most to say about this: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=446074&highlight=empress+porthole http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=445967&highlight=empress+porthole
