How big of a casino bankroll do you like to bring on board with you? Everyone talks about how much they spend on drinks I thought it would be interesting to see what people are willing to blow in the casino.

DW and I like to bring $100-$200 a day to play with. How about you??:cool:

That's usually about how much I allow, too. I don't drink much onboard, or spend money on pictures, souvenirs or other things, so the casino is my "entertainment".

My husband and I usually each take about $100.00 per day to "donate" to the Carnival casinos. After the beating our mutual funds took in the last quarter of 2008, I am sorry we didn't gamble more of our money away on our last cruise though. It would have been ALOT more fun to lose the money that way!

I usually have allocated between $500-$1,000 a day. But then again I play table games which gives the player a better chance at winning than slot machines do.

wow, I guess I am small time....I take $20 per day for slots. I play until the 20 is gone. If I double or better my money, I cash out and come back later or another day with the original $20. I view it more as a video game than gambling really....

I budget $100 per day for blackjack. My wife has $20 per day for slots. I usually win, she donates. In the past three cruises, I won $1400. She lost about $300.

We budget about $100 a day. WIn some and lose some. My wife and her friends play roulette so mostly lose some.

Last cruise, DS and I had $100 a day - the first day he won over $600 (craps), so I didn't need any money on the second day (I took some of his winnings), by the end of the second day, we had our original $100 - he took $60 of that for the Texas Holdem tourney - he won that (I think about $350) - I took some of his tourny winnings again (lost them on slots) - We left the ship with our original $100... Hope we are that lucky on our next cruise.

 

I usually budget a set amount, about $300, and when that is gone, no more casino.

wow-----no wonder cruise lines can afford to price rooms the way they do. wow. If people are spending for drinks the way they do, and at the casino like this. (my husband, too) wow. Just think of what this generates!

Same here. This applies to stand alone casino's also. I never take more then $20 in, when I lose that I am done. If I make win over that, then I cash out my winnings and keep playing on what ever of the orgianal $20 I had. I play quarter slots and have won upwards of $500 so I was pretty happy with that. I figure I can lose $20 and not be too upset about it.

Depends on the cruise (ports vs. sea days). If we have a very active port day, spend little to no time in casino that evening. sea days, spend a good part of afternoon and evening (after shows) in casino. Average allowing $200 daily for casino entertainment for myself, and $10 (entire cruise) for the DW in nickle slots.

I usually only allow about 300 for the entire cruise. I only lost about 200 on this last cruise. Wasted money on video poker and slots, should have stuck with roulette (which I also lost on, but was doing better at).
