2nd cruise with RCCL - questions re C&A and ship differences

Hi,

this is my second cruise with RCCL. My first was a year ago on the Adventure of the Seas, this time around we will be on the Serenade of the Seas.

What are the main differences between the two ships?

Also, since we are now Gold members of the Crown & Anchor Society :), I would like to know what 'exactly' are the perks? I have read about what sorts of benefits we have, but does anyone have any specific examples?

Also - totally off topic - how do you create the signature lines (with all those cute cruise countdown pics etc.)

Thanks,

Serenade is a bit smaller, doesn't have the Royal promenade, but nice ship. As for the C & A, you will get a nice coupon book, which has several coupons including two free drinks and 10% off two bottles of wine.

They have coupons for $$ off on a whole list of cruise dates. If it's one you're booking you just send it in. The coupons either come in the magazine they send or you can register online and view them.

I suggest calling C&A and requesting that they place you on the mailing list (you should have been placed on it when they assigned you a crown and anchor number). The magazine is now only a semi-annual publication so you should also sign up online to make sure you get the discount coupons they offer.

You'll get an invitation to the welcome back party. Some of the coupons are a $5 match play coupon for the casino, 10% discount off a gift shop purchase, and a photo discount. You'll probably get one for Johnny Rockets, just hold on to it for another cruise. Radiance class ships don't have one, they have the Seaview Cafe.

We've only been on one Voyager class ship, the Explorer, and personally we like the Radiance Class ships better. Much easier to navigate and there are lots of windows in the public areas. They also have the self-leveling pool tables in the Colony Club.

Aubiecruiser and others...

thanks again for the helpful tips. I'm going to the C&A online and register for the magazine.

So the coupons will be given to us on the ship?....I somehow thought that we would get the coupons with our cruise tickets + pamphlet. Oh well, I'll just have to wait until we board.

Cheers!

AOS was my first cruise ship also in March!! I loved it! Now I'm going on Ind. of the Seas on March 1st. I've never been on any others. Have fun!

But I think I will always remember AOS as a special one, 44 of us went from our club, and we had a group picture -- was a blast!!
