takeit2x Posted January 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Was thinking about ordering 2 bottles of wine per cabin through the Bon Voyage packages. Can you tell me if it is worth the hassle as far as pricing goes? What does just a glass of wine cost in the dining room? I'm sure we will purchase bottles on board as well but would like some feedback on if we would benefit from preordering also please.
Rare hcat Posted January 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2009 We ordered it for our cruise next week. it was pricey but wanted to save carrying the two bottles of wine on board--also got some scotch & snacks & soda.....& a flex vase arrangement it's purely for convenience,,,not any bargain... But a glass of wine is no bargain either - $5 - $6. I think it ends up being a little less expensive having the bottle vs. buying by the glass. But that's JMO. CHEZMARYLOU Posted January 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2009 We ordered 2 bottles of Asti for our last cruise. The price was the same as buying it on board but there was no 15% gratuity. Mary Lou
GWTWLady Posted January 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2009 We usually send ourselves a bottle or two. The price is a little less as there is no corkage fee. We also get some drink coupons delivered to the cabin. You can save a little, but the big benefit is that these are pre-paid, so it helps keep you ship account down...
