Total Wine Store Question

I plan on pre-ordering wine from the Total Wine store in Ft Lauderdale before boarding the ship. I've signed up as a member, but have never used them. If I pre-order, do I just run in and pick it up or will I have to wait for them to package it up?

Thanks

What ship are you sailing? Some cruise lines don't allow you to bring on your own wine and some limit you to one or two bottles per cabin. You need to check with the cruise line if they allow this kind of thing.

The reason I'm asking is because they can confisgate the wine and keep it until the night before your cruise is over.

I'd give them a call and find out for sure. I was in the store about 3 weeks ago and it cost me about $25 in cab fares to go back and forth from the hotel...but I wanted to fill my Rum Runners. I am of the impression that they will have it ready for you which is a real boon and something I will do in the future.

Total Wine Store -- you might ask them if they deliver to the ship -- if you have ordered a certain amount.

We are on Princess and have never had a problem with wine... although I am hoping to bring about 6 bottles. I never thought about asking them to deliver to the ship. Thanks for the tip :D

If you order in advance, your order will be packaged and ready to go when you pick it up. To my knowledge, security will not allow direct delivery to your ship. You will have to pick it up yourself and bring it to the pier. As others have mentioned, depending on the cruiseline you are sailing on, there may be limits on what you can bring on board. Any excess will most likely be taken away and delivered back to you at the end of the crusie.

Cheers,

I guess I will just have to bubble wrap some and tuck it into the checked baggage.

Thanks for all your great advice.
