Noise from dining room above cabin?

Hi, can someone please tell me if I'll have a problem with noise from chairs being moved in the dining room above my cabin?

Well, as I never book a cabin except those with cabins above and below, I have no personal experience...

 

But, I did see a post on here yesterday saying the dining rooms are carpeted, so you won't hear the chairs through the floors, but the kitchens are not and those floors are very noisy.

Pretty much on any ship...

Under the actual dining room, is okay - noisewise.

 

Under the Galley, is the only place to NOT book a cabin under!

I too will be in a cabin underneath the dining room and as it was pointed out to me, once dinner is done there won't be any chairs moving around. I was glad to know that!

I'm fine with the noise in the evening during dinner. I'm a little worried that the noise from the dining room will wake us up in the early AM. We like to sleep late in the morning.

We were under the Carnivale dining room on our Inspiration cruise and we did hear a few chairs moving around but nothing that made any big deal to us.

We were under the dining room on the Fascination..... we didn't hear a peep. They even jam out to some music after dinner service while they are cleaning. We couldn't hear it!!

I'm in room E112 on the Fascination....it looks to be under the dining room and close to the galley. I really hope we don't hear a lot of noise. Can we change rooms after we already booked?

And keep in mind the times of day...when the dining room IS busy. That's not typically...real late at night...or real early in the morning.

We just stayed in 2335 on Destiny- it was below the dining room, but we never heard any noise- it was actually very quiet-
