Jade Dec. 20th to the Mediterranean

Is anyone traveling with a 13+ yr old girl on Dec. 20th on the Jade going out of Barcelona to the Mediterranean? Also, any tips on shore excursions on this cruise? Help!

We were on Dec 21 2008 on the Jade with 14 yo son, and we all had a great time. It was a holiday cruise and the ship had lots of families and our son had a great time with other teens from the Teens Club. Exactly same itinerary except for one port (ours had Malta but yours have another Greek island instead).

 

The ports were fab - we liked them all! We'd do the same cruise again, but have decided to do the Cape Horn instead. The NCL's Best of Cairo Overnight was the only NCL tour we took and it was well worth the price. We were on our own in Rhodes and Malta and had private tours in Rome, Naples, Izmir and Athens.

 

Weather: some warm days (Egypt was the warmest), some so-so, some rain (at sea, luckily), some very cold days. We had clear sunny in each of the ports we visited except Athens. The pools were little used (they were heated) - by kids mostly, but all the hot tubs were very well used. Days are short so you get to see sunset at departure time.
