Dr. Jack Daniels Posted February 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2009 I've been on 8 Carnival cruises and have always noticed the outlet in the bathroom near the ceiling and it says "Shavers Only" Anyone know what story behind this? Thanks, Pat
*Mach* Posted February 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2009 It's a very low amperage circuit that suitable pretty much for only electric razors...
gtalum Posted February 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2009 It's likely a safety requirement. They can't have a high amperage circuit in the bathroom because those bathrooms are so small and there is a reasonable chance of the outlet getting wet. Rare Essiesmom Posted February 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2009 And with the small amount of counter space, some fool would plug in a hairdryer and drop it in the sink...But I have found on other ship with the same caveat on the bathroom outlet that I could plug in a nightlight in (but that doesn't work on Carnival because the plug doesn't work unless the light switch is on), and battery charger for camera, etc. EM

mudpievelour Posted February 28, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 28, 2009 need more outlets just unplug the tv or the mini frig Or bring one of those plugs that has three plugs on it or an extension cord which will give you two more plugs.
