Plaza Deck?

The Plaza deck is a great location for a cabin....you will find it to be very quiet and convenient. Enjoy your cruise

I agree completely! I had P321 last year, and we really loved the location just off of the art gallery! Very convenient and quiet! :)

I have P315 room on Plaza deck on the Ruby. Any comment on the location of cabin, it is under the casino.

Thanks

P315 is next to the art gallery and below the casino. We've walked through this area several times in the evening on the Crown and Emerald (sister ships to the Ruby), and it was a quiet part of the ship. We also didn't hear anything from the casino.

We were in P319 on the Emerald and it was a perfect location. In P315 you can go straight through the doors in front of you and walk into the art gallery, turn left and you are in the plaza area. Just a few seconds stroll to vines, the coffee bar, and the international cafe!! Instead of going through to the art gallery, you can turn right then a quick left and head for the forward elevators/stairs. I was also concerned about noise from above, but was very pleased to have heard nothing but a few footsteps on occasion. No noise from machines were heard at all. We would book this cabin again. Have a great cruise!!

We have also just booked a cabin in Plaza (P326) for the Ruby next year. So i'm really pleased to hear this is a great location!

Being so close to the international cafe is going to be fantastic!!

Can anyone tell me whether it is very noisy at this part of the ship when it docks in port?

We just got off the Crown on Sunday. We had P322 and friends of ours had P318. We were very pleased with our cabins. No noise from the casino. Convenient location. Our dining room was on the same Deck. The only time we heard a bit of music was the night that they had the champagne tower but nothing major. When we docked we didn't hear anything as well. I get up early so it was nice to have a place to go and sit and not be far from the cabin. The only problem with these cabins is that you are very close to the International Cafe. A good and tasty problem to have:D.

Hope this helps.

Anna:)

I'm with everyone else. I had P301 on Emerald (right at the forward end of the art gallery, under the casino) and experienced no noise whatsoever - from above or foot traffic. Great cabin, easy access to Piazza, stairs, and most importantly, the International Cafe! :p

I had cabin P316 on the Crown. Loved it! Would book on that deck again in a heart beat for all of the same reasons already posted. It's suprisingly quiet, no noise at all from the casino or the Piazza area either. Enjoy!

Plaza deck is a good location. As previous posters have indicated you have close proximity to the gangways.

In addition you are slightly forward of the atrium and on a lower deck which results in less rock 'n roll you'd experience in staterooms up top.

Ciao for now!!!

Very nice area of the ship to be on... I think the only deck you should worry about is Lido deck (14 or 15)... that is one of the pool decks and it could be a crowded hallway at times with passenger traffic to the elevators at certain times of the day. Deck 5 is convienent though... close to the Dining Rooms, and you would not feel as much movement of the ship when you are low like that because there is more stability.

Have fun!! :)

But being lower also results in occasional waves going above your window in extra-rough seas! (Not that it's a bad thing...)
