First cruise, Monarch question?

Recommended Posts

I remember several persons posting a list for the outside superior cabins. It showed which cabins have view obstructions. Does any one have this list. I'm looking into booking two cabins for our family of four. Any suggestions as to location, view, noise ect. I don't believe that any of them have connecting rooms?

We are booked in 8048 for the May 11th sailing. That is an "obstructed" view, but they say it is only 4% obstructed. If you call and speak with a reservations person they will be able to give you more information on those cabins.

Are these obstructed or unobstructed?

The cabins I listed are the least obstructed. I looked at the picture and listed the cabins with the dots next to them.

All cabins on deck 8 are obstructed. Most have a lifeboat mounted outside that obstructs the view straight out and above. These are the most obstructed. You can look under the lifeboat and see the deck 7 promenade and some of the ocean view. The cabins that I listed are generally between lifeboats, so you have much more of a view straight out, but it's still obstructed on either side because of the lifeboats. We were in 8034 on Sovereign and thought the view was fine. I still think deck 8 cabins on this class of ship are the best deal on the ship.
