Sashamcg Posted March 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2009 I was on the Westerdam 2/15-2/22 and my friends and I enjoyed a cocktail called the Pool Side Car. It was the drink of the day one day! We are all wondering now how it is made so we can make them at home. Anyone have the recipe???

INGREDIENTS: 1 ounce brandy or cognac Juice of ½ lemon (or ½ lime) ½ ounce Cointreau INSTRUCTIONS: Pour ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Shake, then strain into a cocktail glass. OVgirl Posted March 8, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2009 When I got my degree as an alcohologist on Zuiderdam, this is the recipe we used. Bong (James Bong) was our professor. Side Car 1 orange wedge 1 lemon wedge Hand press with muddler. Pack with ice to the top. 1.5 oz Brandy 0.5 oz Triple Sec 1.5 oz house-made sour(1 prt fresh lemon juice,1 prt fresh lime juice,2 prts simple syrup) Shake and strain into a sugar rimmed martini glass. I think I remember that they were very good. Enjoy!
