Eurodam/Which dock in St. Thomas?

99.999% of the time HAL docks at Crown Bay. They signed a long term contract (as did Princess) providing they dock there. We were on Noordam and anchored in the inner harbor when Crown Bay was full. Actually, we preferred the tendering from inner harbor to docking at Crown Bay.

At the start of each month, ********** indicates which ships will be in St. Thomas on a given datew and where they are scheduled to dock/anchor.

Edit: Sorry. Guess we are not permitted to provide a link to the site.

If you wish to give the ship name and date, I'll be happy to go to the site and check for you.

Traffic was a nightmare the last time I was in St. Thomas. We were docked at Crown Point and QM2 was next to us. Freedom of the Seas was docked at Havensight with 2 other ships and at least 3 were anchored in the harbor - 2 were near the downtown area and one was further out. There was another anchored vessel, but I couldn't tell if it was a small cruise ship or a BIG yacht.

There weren't many shops opened in the shopping mall. It is considerably smaller than Havensight.

There is a lot of road work going on down by Havensight -- really tying up traffic.

Crown Bay has never and can never have the shops that are at Havensight.

In December HAL had the Hop On Hop Off Pirate boat that went from Crown Bay to town and to Havensight -- really stops closer to the Yacht Haven Grande Shops. The price then was $19 for all day round trip.

On our recent Eurodam cruises it was only $10 round trip for all day.

The Yacht Haven Marina shops are lovely....... really upscale. St. Thomas needed that kind of shopping but it's a shame the timing. They've only been open about 1 year and a half or so and some already closed due to slow business.

We got some very nice things there last year and found the shopkeepers very service oriented.

We'll probably hop a taxi again and go back at least to browse around for a bit.
