lollipops9604 Posted March 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2009 I am going on the Voyager in 3 weeks. I know that some dining options have a cover charge and you have to pay for some beverages (alcohol, specialty coffees, etc) and food onboard. I was wondering what dining options are complimentary. For instance, are the dining venues on the Promenade complimentary or do you have to pay for them? Please list each specific dining venue that is complimentary. Thanks everyone.;) Any Information would be helpful. This is our first time on Royal and the RC website does not specify which places have cover charges and fees. cb at sea Posted March 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Portofinos has a charge. Ben and Jerry's has a charge. Johnny Rockets has a charge. If there is a "specialty coffee" place, they will charge for those coffees. Nothing is "free"--you PAID for it in your fare!!!! It's just that there are no ADDITIONAL charges for most places! lollipops9604 Posted March 7, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Well of course we paid for it in our ticket fare. But it is good to know that there are more than a few dining options that do not charge extra. :D
megr1125 Posted March 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2009 the snacks (cookies, pizza, sandwiches) and regualr coffee and tea are free at the cafe promenade... Windjammer (the buffet) and the dining room are also free.... you can get free frozen yogurt on the pool deck near WJ..... room service is free except from midnight til 5 am-there is a 3.95 charge between those hours...otherwise, you should tip a few dollars in cash if you place an order... shonandsuzie Posted March 7, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2009 It will be very clear which have fees when you board. They list them in your daily newsletter each day. Although, I thought the "special" coffee was confusing because it's right next to the free coffee shop.
