We have never had it but we get Vaccinated against most things. I am sure the Typhoid Vaccine is good for 10 years and I am upto date until 2013 thanks to my time in Iraq.

 

We do take malaria tablets if we go to a Malaria area even if we are only there for 8 hours. My point is that its better to be safe than sorry. Even if we had to pay for the Vaccines we would rather pay the cost than risk catching something. Insurance I suppose which is why we always have travel insurance.

Thank you for that, I have just checked my Vaccine records and the last Typhoid I had was combined with Hep A in 2006 and was good for 3 years. Will nip down the GP's about 8 weeks before we next travel to the Caribbean in November.
