Desertbelle Posted March 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2009 If a married couple has different C&A levels, one Diamond and one Platinum, does the Platinum level spouse get the benefits of Diamond membership, such as using the Diamond lounge on their own? cruisePRN Posted March 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2009 The platinum member becomes diamond. Just call C and A and get your status changed, you inherit your spouses status.

CalGal777 Posted March 10, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2009 Same last name and same address = same C&A levelYou don't even have to use the same last names. I use my maiden name. DH was platinum and I was diamond, called CC and he was upgraded to Diamond.
LisaT91403 Posted March 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2009 My DH has only been on 1 cruise, and now he's Diamond thanks to me :-) We are taking our DS on his first cruise next month, and at the ripe old age of 1 year, he will be Diamond! Merlin139 Posted March 10, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2009 We are Taking our DD 25 on our Explorer Cruise in November she has been on 2 cruises and will be D+ with us when we sail. Her status was changed to Diamond when we booked last year. She does still live with us, but I think if she did not she would for the cruise. dixie54 Posted March 11, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2009 How many cruises does it take to become diamond? what are the benefits? So, if you take a cruise with someone who is a Diamond and share the same cabin (like with a friend not a spouse) you automatically become a diamond??:)
gerif Posted March 11, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 11, 2009 How many cruises does it take to become diamond? what are the benefits? So, if you take a cruise with someone who is a Diamond and share the same cabin (like with a friend not a spouse) you automatically become a diamond??:) It takes 10 cruise credits - some cruises count for more than one credit (e.g., you get one extra credit for sailing in a suite and one extra credit for cruises of 12 nights or more). No, being in the same cabin does not change one's status - you have to live at the same address - I think it also needs to be a relative, but am not sure about that. Greensp53 Posted March 11, 2009 #12 Share Posted March 11, 2009 My 25 yr old daughter who lives with us became a diamond member last month when she reached 10 credits. My husband and I are Platinum with 9 credits. after reading these posts, I called C&A to get changed to Diamond status. They said no because my daughter is over 18. How did you guys do it?
