Millennium-11 nt southern-port or starboard??

What is the best side as far as seeing more when in port from your balcony-- more landscape,as well as for watching people run to get the ship??? lol

I know in Aruba, it is best to be Port Side... however, for the other ports of call, does anyone know? Our ports of call are: St. Croix, St. Kitts, Dominica, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Curacuo and San Juan.

I really appreciate any feedback you can give on this!!

I photograph cruise-ships on a regular basis as they approach Barbados

to dock at our Bridgetown Port. --I see a lot of them. ;)

Sometimes they turn her around before berthing,

sometimes they just go straight in.

It's a random thing

depending on who's on the Bridge that day, wind, currents ..whatever.

I know what they're going to do

when I see them pointing towards me, where I'm standing

at the very last half-minute -- It's that mercurial.

I wish you much luck predicting what orientation your Capt. will reliably use

at your different ports of call

so you can reliably book The Right Cabin.

See those bow-thrusters working?

Constellation-342.jpg

-this is Constellation making her turn, before backing in at 0700 hrs.

so that when she leaves port at 1800 hrs. all she has to do is head straight out! ;)

The options are to turn her NOW (morning,on the way in)

or turn her when the winds might be higher in the evening.

Winds?

Cruise ships act like gigantic sails, catching the wind..

making life difficult for maneuvering in tight quarters

what date are you going on the millenium

we are on the port side - always like it better - less sun in the afternoon - when we want to sit outside more - in the morning - we are off running to pool or excursion
