Portugal to Ft. Luderdale--Rough Seas?

We are thinking of doing a Transatlantic cruise the end of October. It leaves the Azores and goes to Ft. Lauderdale. I am prone to seasickness and take meclizine. Will the seas be rough? There are 6 days at sea which is what is holding me back. I've sailed 20 times but this will be my first Transatlantic cruise. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

The seas will be whatever Mother Nature decides! There's really no way to tell! Good luck! Even the meteorologist can't predict weather a week in advance, and the seas are quite subject to weather conditions!!!

There are basically two main routes on the TA's. The more northern route tends to be rougher than the southern route. Unlike cruise liners like the QM2, cruise ships are not built for TA cruises, hence their shallower drafts. This does mean the ships will be more prone to movement.

You may get lucky and have calm seas the whole way, but I would never suggest a TA cruise for someone easily prone to seasickness. There's a general rule of thumb about seasickness. If you think you are going to get sick, you will.
