qbanrican84 Posted April 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2009 My ship stops in Grand Cayman, and I would love to find a company that does snorkeling without the stingrays, I'm not too fond of them lol. Has anyone done any JUST snorkel excursions? I've seen everyone goes to stingray city, but thats all I hear about...is there anything else?:p
back to the islands Posted April 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2009 I'm with you on this. I'd like to snorkle, but don't care to be surrounded by stingrays. I figure Steve Irwin knew sea life pretty well and where is he? I have snorkled over them and seen them and that is enough for me. But I would love to see all the beauties under the sea. Rare Morgsmom Posted April 4, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2009 Right there with you! On our last trip to GC my DD would not get off of the boat at Stingray City as it was just after Steve Irwin.. my $$ wasted. We are looking for something to do that does not involve Stingrays, too!!! bookbabe Posted April 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2009 If you have no interest in the stingrays (which I can't imagine, since IMO it's the best attraction the island has to offer) then your best bet for snorkeling is to just get off the ship and walk to the right until you see Eden Rock and the other snorkel spots along that area. You can shore snorkel there without worrying about a tour...
