Ephesus Beaches and shore excursions.

Any suggestions on nice beaches in Ephesus. We are cruising on the Celebrity Soltice and will be in Ephesus in July. Also, any suggestions on shore excursions? Thanks, Miriam:)

You'll have a tough time finding a beach in Ephesus. It's miles from the water. You also should not miss a tour of Ephesus itself. One of the least expensive and most fascinating days of our Med. cruise.

Actually the port you will be iarriving to is Kusadasi.

 

In terms of a shore excursions, I would highly recommend visiting Ephesus. It is located around 30 minutes from the port and it is a wonderful site to see.

It's true, Ephesus is not to be missed. However there are beaches in and around Kusadasi itself; I've heard mention of Ladies beach. Do a Google search for Kusadasi beaches; you'll get lots of hits. Here's one site.

 

If you're on Solstice then you have a long evening in Kusadasi - I think Solstice is there until late in the evening. Given that you'll be there in July, you might want to an excursion to Ephesus in the morning, find somewhere n the shade in the afternoon, and perhaps explore Kusadasi after sundown. We were there a couple of years ago on Galaxy in early July and it was roasting - around 100 degrees. I blogged from that cruise here.
