OKH Posted May 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2009 I'm debating bringing my own gear on my cruise since it's safer than renting but I'm wondering if the Explorer offers gear storage/lockers or would that stuff have to be stored in my room? cb at sea Posted May 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2009 I'm pretty sure you'd have to make room in your cabin for your gear...I doubt the ship would want the resposibility of keeping your things "safe".

You would keep it in your cabin. My daughter usually brings her scuba gear with us, and she has never had a problem shoving it under the bed or in the closet. Do you have a balcony cabin? She puts it out there to dry after a dive.
bruce-r Posted May 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2009 You would keep it in your cabin.Yup, that's where it goes. Do you have a balcony cabin? She puts it out there to dry after a dive.On our last cruise, there were notices in the cruise compass about NOT leaving stuff out on the balcony unattended. The cabin steward brought in a towel I left out on the balcony. The reason they state is "fire danger" should someone throw a something on fire overboard.
