billsrobb Posted May 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Is there a duty free store in Victoria, BC where I can buy liquor? If not is there one in Vancover, BC? Thanks, Robb
cruiseryyc Posted May 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Only at the airport and only if you're booked on an international flight. Sorry but these aren't duty free ports; don't think there is one at the cruise terminal. You'll be paying Canadian prices complete with all of the lovely taxes associated with liquor. scottbee Posted May 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Is there a duty free store in Victoria, BC where I can buy liquor? If not is there one in Vancover, BC? Where are you arriving from, and departing to? Duty free is generally only sold post-checkin of international routes.
Putterdude Posted May 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2009 You will not find duty free at the cruise terminal in Victoria or in Vancouver you will have to depend on the ships duty free...sorry. If you flying out of Vancouver directly to the US you will find a duty free shop at YVR.
billsrobb Posted May 5, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Thanks everyone for your replies. The cruise ship does not carry what I want so I was hoping, I will be on a cruise so I guess I am out of luck. Robb
cruiseryyc Posted May 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 5, 2009 There's lots of liquor stores in Victoria/Vancouver - you just won't get a good price for whatever it is you want.

Rare Gardyloo Posted May 6, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 6, 2009 The only booze we regularly import from BC (by car) are half-cases of the excellent hard ciders made in BC, way better than their WA counterparts. Major pain in getting them, however.
