I think you get early boarding, though. and this ship was scheduled for dry dock end of last year did it get upgrades lik2 2.0 thanks for any help know this is an old thread Victory has not gotten her upgrades yet. Don't worry too much though. We had a good time on board last October. :)

BDM12 Posted August 22, 2014 #1729 Share Posted August 22, 2014 That is the impression that I had as well...no need to get FTF when you have a suite. Hopefully someone can confirm.
Pellaz Posted August 22, 2014 #1730 Share Posted August 22, 2014 i have a OS 7270 booked do you get any perks on carnival when you book a suite this is our first cant wait till 8-23-14 :D I did a mock booking to see what Carnival says about suite perks: "A spacious room, that includes Priority check-in during embarkation. Stateroom amenities: Whirlpool bath Vanity dressing table Television Soft, comfortable, and cozy linens Hairdryer/Bathrobes 24-hour stateroom service Ample closet and drawer space" So, you get priority embarkation but not priority debarkation, a whirlpool bath and a vanity dressing table. Everything else listed is standard room-stuff. You do NOT get access to the shorter VIFP line at Guest Services, priority tendering, etc. The good news is, if you purchase FttF for $50 it will cover everyone booked in the suite. cruzn buckeye Posted August 22, 2014 #1731 Share Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Has anyone stayed on the Main Deck of the Victory? We were previously planning on cruising the Ecstacy this summer but are now looking at cruising the Victory this fall and noticed only the Riviera and Main deck were available for most of the ocean view cabins. Just wondering if the Main deck is preferable or not? Main deck and Riviera deck are the only two decks with ocean view cabins. All the other decks are balconys. i prefer main, but there really is no difference. I would book depending on what is important to you. If you like the bars and the aft pool, 24hr pizza, book aft. If you want to be closer to casino, shopping, guest services, book mid. If you want to be closer to the main show room, main pool on lido, gym , book forward. These are the things I take into consideration when i book. Edited August 22, 2014 by cruzn buckeye
diamondcharl Posted August 22, 2014 #1732 Share Posted August 22, 2014 We just sailed on Victory last week. We had FTTF and although our rooms were ready, our luggage did not arrive til well after 4 pm. Our friends were booked in a suite and they were told they had priority boarding, and that their rooms would be ready, but their luggage was not guaranteed in their rooms. We both got our luggage at the same time. Don't think I would pay for FTTF again. It was nice getting on board early, but there were people who walked on 5 minutes after us and did not have FTTF. Enjoy your cruise!
serene56 Posted August 22, 2014 #1733 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Our friends were booked in a suite and they were told they had priority boarding, and that their rooms would be ready, . ! Booking a suite does not get your into your room when you board. People will need to pay the FTTF extra for that perk. Who told your friends that information

You get priorty check in- your cabin will not be ready until 1:30 if you purchase the FTTF the only perk that will get you is the cabin ready. Noremacc Posted August 22, 2014 #1735 Share Posted August 22, 2014 We just got off the Victory last week also, but we absolutely loved FTTF. We got to the port a little later than we wanted, just about noon, and the lines were snaked around the bottom. After about 4 minutes we got to the door, showed our FTTF boarding passes, and they opened the priority line with no one in it. We were checked in within 5 minutes. Then upstairs, the lines were again long to get your S&S cards, but we were escorted to a different line, again with no one in it, got our cards and were on the boat, with a drink in our hands, in our cabins by 12:30. (the doors were open, so it looked like everyone could go to their cabins) All luggage arrived by 1:30. We didn't use the priority tendering because we had a Carnival excursion booked in Grand Cayman, but did use the priority line at GS. The regular line always had people in it, but the priority line never did. I wouldn't hesitate to get FTTF again on our next cruise, if it is available. YVolver Posted September 1, 2014 #1736 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Hello, I am traveling with my 4yr old in May 2015 on her second cruise and hope she is ready to try the kids club. We cruised in March 2014 and she did not want to stay. We are working with her and explaining how fun it will be. The real test will be for me.... How safe is it? I would love to hear from parents that have experienced the kids club for the 2-5 age range. I am apprehensive about leaving her with new people and just want to have some of my fears put to rest. Are there cameras? Are children ever left alone with one camp counselor? Anyone traveling with their little one on the May 16, 2015 Victory sailing, let's connect. We are traveling with a group but will be the only one's with a little one. I would love to have her make a friend early on (Skype or Facetime) and then plan for some fun play dates on board. We only plan on using the after hours and occasional daytime camps. She really enjoys the pool and just hanging out throughout the day. I apologize if this is the wrong thread, my first post. Thanks in advance for all your tips, comments & help!

Doug910 Posted September 2, 2014 #1740 Share Posted September 2, 2014 ...Sorry if this has been covered before, but the truth is just didn't feel like going through 86 pages! ...Anyone know where on the Victory they allow cigar smoking? Thanks in advance for your answers!
serene56 Posted September 2, 2014 #1741 Share Posted September 2, 2014 With all the changes that have occurred-- I really dont know where the cigar smoking is. but currently: Cigar smoking is only permitted in the Black & Red Seas Loung the starboad (right) side of the open and stateroom es. and I wonder how old that information is because I thought they did away with that smoking lounge. http://johnhealdsblog.com/funtimes/2014-02-04/Carnival%20Victory/Victory%201%20Embark.pdf
