BalconyGal Posted May 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Teens are allowed in Skywalkers until 11 p.m. I believe. After that it is 21 and over. At least that's what I recall however someone may know better.

Eaglecw Posted May 4, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2009 It's a great place to go into during the day to just hang out. The view is great
cdngrl Posted May 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2009 hi brame family, what part of victoria are you in? regarding skywalkers: all day any age can go in. at night it is 18 and over only. they will need ID. having said that, the rules do change, but it has been this way on my cruises. :)
janette salles Posted May 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2009 :D I have only gone on 2 cruises, both on Princess, one on the Sapphire and the other the Sea. I loved the feeling of being in "the crow's nest" One can sit in comfy chairs and see all over-watch the ship hit the big swells ( the Skywalkers lounge was PERFECT last march 2009 around the tip of South America-via Straits of Magellan-anybody remember that s t o r m day:eek:) You can walk from Port to Starboard, look fore and aft and check out the folks in that little spa down there too. Most convenient! :p Its quiet in the daytime, lots of folks catch naps or read books or just sun themselves like housecats. Bar wasn't open then but the few times I went up at night folks seemed to be having a good time and there was an 18 yr. old age limit. I will miss this cool spot when I am on ships in the future that do not have it.

west coast cruiser Posted May 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Sky Walkers is a great place to sit during the day on a sea day. I love to sit up there and read and look out at the sea and I manage to get a couple of naps in also. WCC
daldog Posted May 5, 2009 #9 Share Posted May 5, 2009 We tried to take our 16 year old niece up there just to see it, around 4 or 5pm one day and they would not let her in ...... even though it was empty and she was in the company of four 40-somethings who all said we just want to take a quick look at the view. This was Caribbean Princess in 2005, so maybe it has changed since then.
jamesboat Posted May 5, 2009 #10 Share Posted May 5, 2009 CB this March... I think the official policy was 18+ to enter, 21+ to drink... But nobody ever checked. When we went up there were more kids than adults, although the club was dead every night. They werent checking ID for alcohol or the casino on the boat either. Not a big deal, I think the princess age policy is dumb.
red4u2 Posted May 5, 2009 #11 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I think the age policy in a bar/ nightclub is very appropriate, i dont want to go out dancing and have to dodge the kids, not to mention it is an adult setting in the evenings. IMHO.
h3rjp Posted May 5, 2009 #12 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I only went once in the evening and the music sucked! There was about half a dozen people there and it just didn't seem to work. I guess you need a busier ship with a more diverse age range. I agree it was a great place during the day though.

Anubi Posted May 6, 2009 #14 Share Posted May 6, 2009 We used Skywalkers for our Meet and Greet on the Emerald last month and it was great. I've also used it when reading, the views are incredible. As for dancing at night...we tried to go dancing several times during our cruise but the music was terrible. The DJ seemed to have done remixes of everthing to the same beat, no matter the song. We weren't the only ones to think this. BIL & SIL saw a group of twenty-somethings ask for music and argue with the DJ after which they left. scmexico Posted May 8, 2009 #16 Share Posted May 8, 2009 The deck plans for Grand Princess show a lift in Skywalkers lounge. I wondered where it went. Does anyone know?
RickEk Posted May 8, 2009 #17 Share Posted May 8, 2009 The deck plans for Grand Princess show a lift in Skywalkers lounge. I wondered where it went. Does anyone know? On the older Grand-class ships (the ones with Skywalkers far aft), the club is basically two-level and the lift is for wheelchairs/scooters to be able to reach the upper level of the club.
