hal lover Posted May 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Last December I was in Barbados and shopped for Lancome eye cream. Due to the lack of duty (tax) I thought their prices were great. I just today opened the sealed package and the eye cream was a ball of like silly putty. It was most likely outdated. I am disgusted! There goes 40 some dollars in the garbage. BUYER BEWARE! I know that A. H. Rise has a store in St Thomas and I will be there in a few days and you can bet that should I buy cosmetic products from them, I will have them open it first. A. H. Rise, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Rise, you should be ashamed of yourself! Sorry to hear of your disappointment in their products. I live on the island here, never heard the name even looked in our local phone book to see... No listing in the Barbados phone book for A.H.Rise. You sure it was Barbados? But.. You bought that stuff in December...and opted to use it in May? That's nearly six months later! No wonder it was out of date! .
NCTribeFan Posted May 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2009 You know what they say. Buyer Beware! I always check to see if items have a date. I have some things that I've had for years and years (waaaaaay past whatever expiration date they should've had) and nothing have ever turned into "silly putty." This is why I don't shop in ports (or on the ship). Just way too much hassle if things don't go well.
