dothow Posted May 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2009 Hi, We will be on the Pride out of Baltimore in August. Right now we have a schedule dining time at 8:15. We were thinking about doing anytime dining. This will be out 11th cruise on Carnival and know that gratuities are put on you bill everyday and you pay this at the end of the cruise. Our T/A said that if you do anytime dining you have to pay the gratuties with your final payment before the cruise. Our question is for those who have have the anytime dining did you have to prepay the gratuities before your cruise? Thank you and Happy Sailing dothow Baltimore, MD
FantasyLineAddict Posted May 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2009 No, I did not have to prepay gratuities, I have confirmed Your Time Dining. I booked through Carnival though.

FantasyLineAddict Posted May 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2009 Adding a question to this: If gratuities are pre-paid, do they become commissionable?
ck53 Posted May 7, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2009 No, we did not have to prepay, BUT, this is all basically new to Carnival. They are just rolling out this service and things could be changing along the way. We were the 1st group on Miracle 3/29 to do this dining and we did not have to prepay and let me say it worked well. Carnival has been doing this for over a year. You do not have to prepay gratuities.
