don't know about turtles but this is easy to get to from St George. there is a concession(which rents chairs) food and bathrooms...what else would you like to know...

Don't know about turtles. Our first cruise to Bermuda we took a tax tour of the island and the driver took us to Clearwater. We were sooooooo sorry we didn't have our suits on - it was beautiful - we just waded in the beautiful clear water. It was also nearly deserted because the driver said it is mostly used by locals and of course it was the middle of the business/school day when we were there.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and I am attaching some pics. It was a wonderfully secluded spot and very large. As mentioned by others it is a locals beach and located in St David's. If you take the high speed ferry from the Dockyard to St George's you can then get on the # 6 bus to St David's please check the bus schedule as not all # 6's go to the beach.

We never saw sea turtles but we didn't snorkel.

We have been to Bermuda several times but not to Clearwater and think that we will add it to our list.

This is the beach where you can sit & watch airplanes, to your heart's content. It's right across from the airport.
