As long as you understand that you're signing up to accept, without recourse, any cabin in the minimum Category you purchase, any location, any deck (if you purchase IS Guarantee you could get a FWD Inside Cabin on the riviera deck) and you can only get price drops up to Final Payment. ken

Paid in full for an balcony, how bad can a bad balcony room be?

are the partially obstructed that obstructed??

And what's the chances of an upgrade to a wraparound or suite? leaving on Legend 5/31/09 and appears to be lots of empty rooms in those categories but no more fun saver balcony deals.

The first three cabins of the obstructed supposed to have the bigger life boats in front of them, the others less so, just hard to see straight down.

Chances of a upgrade the day of the cruise are almost slim and none, you need to upgrade before the ship leaves with Carnival.

Suggestions to get a better upgrade on cruise day appreciated!

Wont happen- Cabins are sold to residents for a very cheap price. Most ships sail at FULL or nearly full.

If higher categories are left people are then upgraded BEFORE sailing so they can sell the lower categories at a cheaper rate.

If looking for an upgrade do it before you leave.

That's for Early Saver, OP is asking about Fun Saver.

I've heard there are not as many upgrades to be had anymore as Carnival is doing the pay to upgrade calls now. I know we've done the Fun Saver twice and ended up in the lowest category we could get so no upgrade at all.

what ship?

assignments are usually given out after final payment. It can change up til sailing but very rare.

5185 on a spirit class ship is a 7A- obstructed view cabin. Lifeboats are to the railing - but your cabin is between lifeboats with a better view. click on a pic to make it bigger
