Cruising in December

What are the seas like in December.. Cruising from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean? Usually..

We have had excellent weather in December. Calm seas - no rain.

I agree with KK, we have had, for the most part, excellent weather. I think that like any other time, you can hit a rough patch (rain, wind), but I have never noticed that as a trend.

December cruising is great! We have done it many times and never had rough seas or bad weather. I like leaving from Ft. Lauderdale. Smooth seas!

We've done three Dec Caribbean cruises, and the only rough water I remember was off the west tip of Cuba (on the way to Belize) for a couple of hours. Maybe 15 foot waves.

Generally, we enjoy wonderful weather in December. The only exception was iin 2001 ... we had 2 sea days en route from Port Everglades to Curacao, and we had gale force winds both days. Not a pleasant time on deck!

We always cruise in the Carribean in Dec. Normally 14 day cruises. Sometimes some

rough seas and rain but not anything that would ruin a cruise.

The one time I sailed in December it was a very nice cruise. The Seas were calm and the sun was shining. I was on the Rotterdam. We had one rough day but the rest was very nice.
